mi audio boost 'n' buff is similar to the super hard on, but doesn't have a huge amount of boost. the duncan twin tube blue is great, but isn't that transparent for a clean boost (i play through a cranked, or almost cranked 50 watt bassman 10 by the way). The dano transparent OD is a timmy clone and does a great clean boost, with enourmous boost, and a good lightly overdriven tone. there is a very slight boost of the upper mids (vocal sound, not nasal), but hardly noticable. certainly not when pushing an amp. what amp are you using?
btw, that dano is 40 bucks or so, they sell an OCD twin and an MI crunchbox for around that price too.
