Telecaster, but not a Telecaster

So I really love the way Tele's sound, but I hate the way they look and the fact that every other #### in texas has one. So I'm looking for a guitar with a very similar sound to a Tele, but with a lot different look, any suggestions?

I like that white on the Mozack a lot, man, all I could find on Google were sunburst, I already have too many sunburst guitars.

get a tele and mod it? i hate the way tele's look too but when you're playing it you cant really see waht it looks like so i dont care...

Well I do care what my guitars look like when I'm on stage. Image is important, despite what anyone says.

My Rickenbacker 620's bridge pickup has a fairly similar sound, definitely got the twang, and it completely looks the business.

i really like that modified jaguar body design. it looks better than the fender jaguar, imo. there's more of a dip between the top horn and the back end

How much did you pay for your 620 if you don't mind my asking. Those things (or any Rick really) are hard to come by in the NE area.

I agree the Ric 620's bridge pup is twangy, but i doesn't have the cutting power of a telecaster, it's very full bodied, almost piano like. How about this schecter hellcat?

Yeah, it's somewhat warmer than the Tele bridge pickup.

Looks a bit strato like, but that doesn't mean it won't have good tele tones, hmmm, and I do love schecters.

Right now the Malden is what I'm on the look out for. The Rick is probably a little more than I wanna pay for, but that would be a good guitar to keep in mind about future purchases, thanks.

You can't buy the mozak in that color. Only sunburst and a vintage white that's similar to the new Mustangs. I don't know why it's even on their site. They're also very hard to find...or else I'd have one by now.
