Can some one find a picture of a palm mute bar that was on the 60's jaguar so i can see what those thing looks like,I myself searched google for a hour looking for one and no luck so if you can find one please post it.

I think they're a waste of time. The only reason they were there is because the bridge cover did not allow you to mute. You must palm mute while you're playing.

I had one on my fake Jaguar. Very annoying thing, i threw it of immediately.

i put one on my jap jag, only becuz i think they look cool.

i used to use the one on my avri jaguar but it kicked up the pitch slightly.

i did find however that to remedy this problem you can basically modify the foam so that it touches closer to the bridge and thus making the pitch more true.

you mean a plate the fits under the bridge, engaged by your thumb, via a plunger unit under the bridge with a peice of foam to mute the strings.

and it was aimed towards the surf guys, not becuz it had a bridge cover.

there is a gretsch modle out there somewhere that has two mutes on it,

a few companies over the years have experimented with the idea, but none of them really took off.

yeah and i can tell there probally hard to use from what every one tells me.
