go for the "deluxe players strat" if you want the much flatter fretboard radius.
if i were you, after a 60's strat, i would buy an AV strat. but they sell for over $900, even second hand. and so, some of the best strats, imo, aren't fenders, but tokia springy sounds dated from '79-'83. they'll probably go cheaper than those. if you can get a good one, it's just like an AV strat but much cheaper
