Humbucker in the neck position

Today I bought a duncan hotrails and put it in my mustangs neck spot. I love the sound but I wanted to know if anyone else has done this and what theyre opinions are. fullsize hums or strat size. pics help 😁

Depends on your other equipment. If you use modelling FX or multi FX i dont think the difference matters, but Guitar>Valve Amp, a full size 'bucker seems much better.

After modding Jags and a couple of Mustangs i can seriously say in my opinion a full size humbucker is different to the smaller models.

But the smaller models do get you close to that sound without the need to butcher your guitar up and aesthetically make everything look wrong.

When i want to play a Jaguar, this IS the guitar i go for, It is the best playing/sounding Jaguar i have.

I replaced the full sized humbuckers not because it sounded bad, i just wanted to get the traditional Jag look, but with the same sound as the Dimarzio pickups Fran had installed. So i went with SD JB. Jr. in the bridge and a lil' '59 in the neck.

and a pearl guard.

how dose it compare to a stock jag?

Well, for starters the pickups are alot better imo compared to the stock CIJ pickups.

and the setup that Fran did is amazing, low action, no buzzing, stays in tune, strings dont jump out of the saddles either. And that is with the stock Jag bridge(not mustang bridge) and no buzzstop.

In Frans picture it has a buzzstop, but only because it had massive output pickups and picked up string noise from behind the bridge.
