a mustang for a tele. would you?

hey guys need some advice.

i offered a guy my stang for this tele

the stang plays great but its a relic. i mean its old and the condition is poor

all the finish is gone from neck..

i know I'm gonna buy another in the future, but then in a better condition

the guy instant said yes,thats fast so i'm doubting now.

it says that its is as good as new from '02

as far as money goes, thats a pretty good trade.

altho i would rather have a beat up mustang over a new american tele.

it really depends on your playing style and what you like.

i didn't do it.

the stang just plays so nice, i prefer it over my avri jag.

but it was a nice tele, and a good deal.

it wouldn't look good on me anyway.! lol

i dont really like the way teles feel. they feel cheap but thats just me, i LOVE my mustang neck.

Oh yeah, there's no doubting Tele's have a great sound but so do many other guitars including the Mustang. Its just fashion.

I remember when everyone wanted Les Pauls, and before that it was PRS. In the mid 90s everyone was buying semi's because of Oasis, before that it was Jags because of Nirvana.

Its all fickle, just use what you feel comfortable with and sounds good. By all means try the Tele, it may very well be the guitar you've been looking for.

IMHO... It does matter. Go for a vintage Mustang Comp.

i have seen one for 1700,- ......yeh ahum EURO's.

but i must say it looked brand new for that age.

strange!!! but its hard to find a reisseu here in holland.

u.s. vintage are easy to find.
