Are you positive your vintage neck needs a refret? most of the time a good leveling/recrown/polish is all they need. I had this done to a Jaguar that i thought for sure need a refret, only cost about $50.
To answer your question, i have a '66 Mustnag body with a '96 RI Mustang neck and it fits/plays good.
