well, i opened the back and checked everything and it all seems fine, routing is good, the springs arent touching anything, its all perfectly neat in there.
i removed the trem and found that the trem block didnt pivot well with the pins beng uneven, it was really clunky and uneven so i screwed the pivots all the way in (they do seem loose and rattley unless they are screw in tight) then found that the action was level with the fretboard, so i undid them 4 or 5 turns equally and everything smoothed out so i strung it all back up and my action is too low the clunk is still there. knackers.
sometimes it feels like the clunk is coming from the neck joint but it may just be where i'm feeling it. sometimes it feels like its coming from the bridge or sometimes the 12th fret.
