2002 Competition Reissue Mustangs

during 2002 Fender reissued MIJ comp red and blue mustangs for the international market.

do any of the folks here have a 2002 reissue and able to comment if the nlue color used in 2002 is the same as the MIJ mustangs produced during 2009 eg:

eg, OLB, LPB etc etc

I had one (until it was stolen 😠 ) and it was the OLB color, just w/o the matching headstock. Quite beautiful and I am desperately trying to save enough money to have one of the new ones imported from Japan.

I think that japanese catalog has washed out color, sort of a yellow tint to everything on the page.

All the Japanese compstangs I've see so far had the same color to them. They seem to be rather consistant. I've seen 3, they all were pretty close to each other, though I like the pickups in the 2002 I played more (they sounded hotter).
