guitar build / jazzmaster jaguar templates

it all started a few days ago on holiday in the middle of nowhere. my dad and i had the idea of building an egg shaped guitar. . but after seeing the telemaster again i want to build one soon and continue it until the summer.

the only thing i really need to get perfectly right to start with is cutting a good jaguar/jagmaster/jazzmaster body shape. does anyone know of any good printable templated i can use?. i may design my own body shape in the end but i would rather go for a proper telemaster

dont you have a jazzmater? couldnt you just draw round that?

there has been some progress on my project and fran made a mosrite, cant remember if you were here for that

ive only been away for a week. . so ive seen all of that. . . frans mosrite 😛

ur project looks pretty cool. . cant wait to see it finished!

I've got a Jazzmaster, Mustang & Tele template in the garage. I don't have the interior routes for the Tele, just the body shape.

Anybody gifted enough to know how to take a scanned template, combine all the peices into something that we can print off. Sorta like start a guitar body archives. You may wanna check some of those "software/program download for free website". I know you can download Strat and Tele CNC programs from them. I've never had the balls to mess with those sites, afraid I'd download a virus instead.

i may just trace my jazzmaster..

alternatively i could go back to my dads idea. . and make an egg shaped guitar. . or more what i would do.. i would shape it more like those vox guitars.

but with tele hardware. . . would be kinda funny.

my idea would be to get a cheap squier telecaster, use the neck and bridge pickup and bridge (not use neck pickup) and the control plate and switches (but replace the actual pots probably) and then later on get a decent tele neck and everything and make it into a good telecaster or esquire. not gonna use the neck pickup cos there would be no way of hiding the bad routing XD

any other suggestions? im really set on doing something now. .

one of those with tele neck and harware in candy apple red (possibly with matching headstock) would be brilliant.
