out phase,in phase,split coil / neck, both, bridge wiring?

Been searching the forums and can't find a diagram anywhere for the following switch combos:

switch1: out of phase/in phase/split humbucker

switch 2: neck p-up / both p-ups/ bridge pu-p

or vice versa. I'd rather not do any push/pull pot mods. I'm putting a 0.022 orange drop on the tone pot.

The stock humbucker won't coil split.

And I hope you realize that the single coil sound does not really come from the fact there is only one coil. It comes from the position of the magnets. So a split bucker will never sound exactly like a real single coil.

out of phase is like you had on your jag-stang

Split , make humbucker work like single coil but a lot more hot

Parallel is sound very like Jimmy page , led Zep

and Series is most common humbucker sound. Full of Power.

just stick a 0.022 orange drop across the tone control replacing the original but...

the volume cuts out in the last 3rd travel of the pot so tone is acting as both tone and volume!

tone pot is cutting volume!

any ideas?

Are any of the legs of the tone control connected to ground??

Hi there- no, but I un-soldered and re-soldered and it solved the problem...

but the problem now is volume pot goes from full to cut straight away.

I think the problem lies in my soldering skills, not necessarily any wrong wiring...

That sounds right.

The volume pot doesn't really control volume, it controls gain. Turn the gain on your amp up to full and then fiddle with the volume knob. You'll see what I mean 😉
