Starcasters....

Hey,

I've always loved the look of the vintage Fender Starcasters, but was always turned off because of the outrageous price tags that people think they are worth. Are their any copies? or companies that make guitars similar to these beauties?

the only non-fender one ive seen was a one-off build by a luthier, which probabl cost about as much as an original

I think that the whole offset hollow body look is very cool, and the headstock is pretty wild as well

they are really cool guitars i played a few in chicago,(blk one and a nat.) and a shortscalers in cali let me play his 76, i really liked it, sounded awsome and had a great feel.

Starcasters are beautiful. They look absolutely wonderful, but if I have ever heard one, I did not know it. 5 knobs!!! What is the extra one for?

A Starcaster is almost like my impossible dream of Fender ownership. That and a Swinger. I was gonna build a swinger next year using Warmoth parts, but I changed my mind.
