Maybe not a stock one, but I have had a few youtube comments that my EMG'd Jag-Stang sounds like a Les Paul in the bridge position at least, even though most LP snobs thing that guitar is the ugliest thing they ever saw in their lives.....it's like apples and oranges, the Jag-Stang is the rough and tough punk chick of electric guitars, the beauty is the toughness and personality, the Les Paul, on the other hand, is more like a missus to a famous lounge singer, while the Jag-Stang might have some fun being rambunctious, the Les Paul is more likely to get upset that her dress got torn, or that she fell over off her chair (ie, broken headstock).
The Gibsons I like are Explorers and SG's, but I don't need to buy one because I can build one that kicks ass with the features I want for cheaper, and they suit well to having a bolt-on maple neck. For a brief while before I bought my Jag-Stang, I played an SG copy by Aria as my main guitar that I rebuilt for a friend of mine.
