i may be completely wrong about this, BUT! i think, that surf green is actually seafoam green from the dupont color scheme, and in which case, it has not been a color in the fender catalog since the 60's, maybe it was availble during the 70's but only as a custom option.
granted, its deffinitly availble now, but it would have to be a custom shop ordered color.
