Hi all...new here, but not new to Jags as I have been playing them since '68 or so. I have completely worn out the neck on two Jags and decided to go to Telly's for awhile. I missed my Jags, but loved the sound of the Tellys. ANyway, I picked up a RI off of Ebay awhile back. I am trying to get a better sound out of it. I tried the "Quarter Pound) pickups, but find them too dark and lifeless for me. (I play mostly country and 50's rock, some jazz). I don't really want to route out for humbuckers, but I will if I have to. Do any of you have a recomendation as to what pickups will give me some of the "snap" of a telly, pretty good output, and generally all around decent sound??? Also...do the Strat pickups fit in the Jag...if not, what is required to convert. I have no problem with wiring, etc, and will prolly change all that anyway. Comments are appreciated...thanks for reading my wondering thoughts........
