Needed a practice amp I could pack in my suitcase. Just got this little Vox Pathfinder 10 and I like it. My old ('65) Mustang pups yield lots of tone with this cheap box, and great sustain starting with gain at around 11 o'clock. I'm gettin good "woman tone", spank, and what I'd call "metallic" tone. I'm also getting substantial break-up at higher volume, unfortunately, but that depends on how much gain is dialed in. So for my money, I'm happy.
Here's an opportunity for anyone in the market for a suitcase-packable practice amp. These 10s are discontinued and I got mine for $69.00, with MSLP of $123.00 I believe (at Music and Arts, a chain store). I'm sure that after Thanksgiving anyone could walk in almost any store and negotiate much less than I paid.
