Mustang wiring mod help

Hi,

This is for my 66 duo-sonic II. I want to rewire the slider switches but not sure what goes where.

I'm using the gm-arts diagram, and I like the first switch neck/both/bridge

but for the 2nd switch I wanted it to go series/off/parallel.

can anyone help me out with that bit? 😀

Hi McConks, yeah that's where I got the original from, but instead of the tone and vol. bypasses, I'm wanting to do series and parallel with that switch.

Earth

Just if you ever want to wire it stock:

Black and blue are ground. Also don't forget to ground the control plate (hence the electronics) to the vibrato and/or bridge. I haven't done this in this diagram as its for vintage guitars and vintage owners know where the ground wire is already. As you have a 66 you should see it (a bare wire) along the top of the body going from the grounding plates to the bridge thimble, just leave that as it and wire the rest exactly like the diagram.

There's absolutely no need to ground the pots and jack together with wire as the control plate grounds them all together then to the bridge and shielding via the bare wire i already mentioned.

Thanks earth. Unless I can find some help with the diagram somewhere soon, I might just go with the standard wiring but I'd really like to have a little more flexibility.
