What pickups=Bright, Warm + Full sound out a jag-stang?

I'm definitely putting a Seymour Duncan antiquity texas hot in the neck position of a bass wood japanese fender jag stang.

I also have an Mahaony American GIBSON SG with 490t's in the bridge and neck (stock).

Want the Jag-Stang to sound jangly and bright but also full and warm with a "vintagey sound." Looking to have a brighter toned guitar to contrast the SG.

How will the 'midrangeyness' and other tonal factors of the MAHAGONY SG with 490t's compare/contrast to the BASS WOOD jag-stang with the antiquity Texas Hot in the neck and a PEARLY GATES in bridge?

How bought a SD JAZZ in the bridge, same equation?

Will the JAZZ's out put be too low?

What about a JB sh-4?

ALSO if anyone has any insight about what to try and/or other factors to consider I would love to hear about them. The first time I have ever even thought about pick ups was just in the last month so i really don't know what i'm doing.

BASICALLY TRYING TO GET A BRIGHTER TONE THAN THE SG BUT ALSO HAVE A WARM AND FULL SOUND WITH A BIT OF VINTAGE TINGE.

My amp is a 1970 silver face FENDER SUPER REVERB.

I'd recommend the Pearly Gates. The JB seems like it'd be a little bit too high gain for your needs (I dunno maybe that's just me) and I've never really looked into the Jazz. Also the SH-1 ('59 model) might suit your needs quite well.

Funny, I'm haveing the PG installed in the bridge right now! It's a vintage alnico with a bit more high end.

Do you have any guitars with PG's in the bridge?

I played a strat with a PG in the bridge and I loved it BUT...then played it again and thought "maybe this is too midrangey."

I will be hearing it in the Jag Stang, and through my gear soon!

I heard a 60's MIJ Mustang reissue outfitted with a LACE sensor RED the bridge and a LACE GOLD in the neck. Sounded so good.

Anyone out there have Lace Dually's in the bridge of a Jag-Stang or Mustang?

I'm also considering this and SD JAZZ in the Bridge.

I dun actually have one, but for one of the projects I was planning on doing I was seriously looking into getting one, so I watched quite a few demos on youtube and it sounded very good to me on almost every one (I say almost cuz as I recall there were one or two where the audio quality was so poor it sounded terrible, but that's due to bad recording). I did decide that I would've used that pup in the project, but I never got started on the project. As I said previously I have no experience with the SD Jazz (not even just looking into it). I also have no experience with the Lace Duallies. Srry I can't be of more help there.

the projects you heard on you tube, were those PG's in Jag Stang Bridges, or just in various bridges?

When I get mine installed I'll record a few riffs using my apogee duet. then send em your way so you can hear it very well as it is in a JS bridge.

Most of em were in Les Pauls, but I think there were a couple in Strats.

You may also want to look into the Pearly Gates Plus. It was a SD pickup only available through Fender. Has a bit more oomph than the reg PG as I was meant to be dropped into bolt neck guitars.
