Show me where I debated with you about the circuits being independant?? I have not questioned that. I have been debating that the original mode 1 of the SG, the one marked bypass on the left side is a Torns Circuit according to the info I've read and been given from Devi.

Perhaps you thought I was debating the independant circuits while I thought you were mentioning the circuit. Double fail.

you;ve also got it the wrong way

on the original. the left hand side is a soda meiser and the right is a torns peaker, left can be used on its own but right can only turn on when left is engaged

now both left and right side can be used together, or on their own.

I've gone ahead and posted the question on the ILF forum to get the answer from them as I believe you have the placement of which switch controls which circuit is backwards. Yes when both are engaged it's SM through Torns, but the bypass switch controls the TP as before they were independant, mode 1 is the TP, not the SM. According to Devi, this is the case.

I second this.

It's what has come after rock *stylistically*, not chronologically. No single genre of music has "finished", we still have post-punk, post-hardcore, post-grunge, but there are still bands who claim to be punk or hardcore. Or even grunge.

Think of it this way: We evolved from monkeys, but there are still monkeys around.

Feedback, I know you haven't had a chance to play with it properly yet but do you think the Blender could do a Muff-ish sound? The only demos I can find just show Hendrixy Fuzz Face sounds and Ring Mod esque things... I'm going to try one out over the New Year cause I'm seriously considering getting one but I want to know if it can do more than just two sounds.

I haven't had a chance to play the Blender for very long, but while I won't say you couldn't get a muff'ish sound if you really played around with it, I think you'd be very hard pressed to do so. The hard truth is that the Blender just wasn't designed for that particular sound. It's just that the octives will most likely find itself into the mix and will therefor make muff sounds hard to get. But who knows? Mess with it and see what happens. Who knows what effect it will have mixed with your other pedals, with your particular amp, and at the temp of your surroundings (it has germainium transistors which are sensitive to temperature). With a pedal like that, you just can never tell.

I'll have to try one out then... I won't be able to with my own gear though because I live nowhere near anywhere which stocks them, but where I'm going on holiday theres a massive guitar store which hopefully will have them. I wish there were more demos though, the only one I've seen the guy just plays Manic Depression then does some robot sound effects. For a pedal which is supposed to have so many sounds, I found that a bit odd.

I payed off the Blender earlier this week and it is a freaking fun pedal. the volume drop on it is pretty nasty (mine is one of the reissues, the originals don't suffer from this problem according to what I've heard) and so I pretty much just leave the tone boost on all the time, but other than that it rocks.

PS as a warning to anyone whoever might get one of these at any point, you should prolly refrain from turning all the knobs to max (especially if the tone boost is engaged) because it sounds like a ds-1 with all the knobs turned to maximum plugged into another ds-1 with all the knobs turned to maximum (seriously it brings new meaning to ice pick highs). This is prolly due to the fact that my amps are generally set pretty trebly to start with, but all the same I'd still avoid using that setting for the most part.
