lamp I tried (admitedly not very hard) to remove the claw from one of my Jag pickups (CIJ). Despite pulling I couldn't get it off... I assumed that they were just held on by the magnets of the pickup, but are they glued? Any advice would be great.
Dillon Mine were glued on, but then again it's an older one, so maybe they changed. Regardless, I was able to get them off just by pulling.
Fran I'm almost positive mine is connected by a soldiered wire as well, probably to 'ground' the claw.
Dillon Odd, mine weren't connected to the claw. 😕 Makes me wonder if the pickups in those LE models were different.
Rick also, some japanese jaguars are grounded through the bridge bushing, and some are grounded through the trem. so various things can be different, i suppose
lamp Yep, mine was glued on, but still came off ok after a bit of persuasion with a screwdriver - and I had unsoldered the grounding wire.
