i own a cij jag for about year and a half and after endless action adjustment 😐 i decided to move to electronic parts. In my country(thailand) i've heard a lot about changing capacitors. Bumblebee, vitamin Q, sprague ? What's the difference between these things. My local webboard discuss a lot about bumblebee workalike caps from germany and Paper in Oil capacitor. The problem is the jag isn't so famous around here and there are few experts so i'm not sure which one suits the jag. and also, i'd like to have both pickups change.
I'm stuck with krautrock, sterolab, broadcast, 60's sound like velvet underground, the kills and initially start jaguar with noise, shoegaze sound. what should i go for? i want vintage sound and versatility to experiment. possible? and about pickups, seymour duncan, lace sensor ? any other alternatives? anyone here adored st. vincent? very creative musician. her sound is so great. any idea?
