SD/AV Pickup wiring in phase/out of phase???

I have recentley put a Seymour duncan antiquity II in the neck and an AV in the bridge of my CIJ Jaguar connecting them the same as the stock pups. I have read various posts on the internet about SD's and AV'S being different polaritys and having to switch a wire somewhere?? 😕 They both have the yellow/white wire on the right and the black on the left as they sit in the body. Do i have to connect one of the ground wires to the pot terminal and the signal wire to ground on one of the pickups? I'm confused about the whole in and out of phase thing aswell. Can any of you Jag experts shed any light on this? Any help appreciated. 😛

If it sounds odd with both pickups on, switch one of the pickups' wires about. Worked for my Jazzy.

It seems to sound ok, would it be really noticible if it wasn't right? They are hum cancelling when both on. My strangle switch doesn't seem to do much, i have to really listen to here the bass cut. Is it supposed to be that subtle?

it sounds thin and nasaly with both pickups on out of phase. you'd know about it if this was the case. if you just connected the wires up the same way as they were before, then it should be ok

Yeah, i connected them where the stock pups were.(Same as SD schematic on their website) They don't sound thin and nasaly although there isn't as much oomph compared to when they are on on their own. Aren't the polaritys/windings on the SD Ant II's the same as the AV pickups. Why would people say you need to switch wires if your mixing SD's and AV's, when i've popped them straight in and (according to what you've said) they sound fine? Just wondered that's all. 😆
