Jaguar Vintage '62 Reissue Ice Blue Metallic question .

Hi everybody, I'm new on this board and for several weeks I'm thinking about purchasing a Jaguar so I've searched a model which would fit me and I fall in love with the Jaguar Ice Blue Metallic at the moment I've seen this pic :

But then I've found this picture on many online music shops :

I think the second picture doesn't really show the real color of the Ice Blue Meatllic (it looks brighter on the second one) , but I would like Jaguar's "expert" to tell me which picture is closer to the real Ice Blue Metallic color ! Hope you understand and you can help me 😛 .

Ice Blue is my favorite Fender Custom color of all time. Years ago ReRanch.com didn't make it, so I begged Bill at ReRanch to mix me up the first batch ever. He sent me 2 cans for a project I was working on.

The first photo is too dark. The second photo is to bright blue. Ice Blue to me is a cross between the two photo you have. The first photo may be vintage, color has aged somewhat. While the later is a fresher paint job. But certainly most likely could just be lighting & angle of viewing, as well as aging.

Ice Blue Metallic (also called Blue Ice and Silver Blue by Dupont) Is a 1965, '66 Ford color and used by Fender from 1965 to '69. The color has a very fine metallic component but will change color dramatically depending on the viewing angle. Ice Blue is the quieter, and perhaps cooler, brother of Lake Placid Blue.

Also, colors of guitars are going to be truncated by different computer monitors, some have more blue content than others, so the guitar might appear more blue on some monitors, and more gray on others. It's very difficult to reproduce the colors on everyone's monitor the same way being as the brightness, hue, and saturation can be completley different, as well as differences via manufacturing process.

The first Ice blue looks perfect to me on this Dell LCD I'm using right now. It would look brighter on my Samsung at home, or deeper blue on my Envision that I use as my primary monitor.

Yeah I understand this point of view Mike, that's true. But I would like that someone who know how a real Ice Blue Metallic Jaguar looks like tells me which one is closer, contrast difference is sure a good point, but the difference between two picture still the same 😛 . I think I'm really worrying for nothing, with the picture from reranch.com Joey posted I can see that the first one is the closest ! So thank you guys for those interesting answers, really .

To me the first looks like it would be more accurate as the mint PG and aged pickups covers colors look about right like on my jaguar.

Congrats... I've never played an AVRI, but I hear they are very comparible to an original. Looks like a beaut!

She sounds really nice , I'm impressed, but apparently there are some buzzin' issues, I've got to see how to fix that then it'll be perfect 😀 . Here are some picture of the beast 😛 :
