however i was really hoping for a jag with a tremelo arm fitted. is it possible to have one fitted and if so how much would it cost do you reckon. i could always take it back for another different one.

You can buy an aftermarket tremolo arm... that is only for Jaguar/Jazzmaster. Don't ask me for a link though 😛 It has to be a Jaguar/Jazzmaster tremolo arm though, cause I think they have a collar on the arm, that helps lock it in place.

You may be able to find a tremolo arm locally that is threaded (for a different guitar). Shove it in and spin it, don't force it if it don't fit, ya could split the tremolo coupling open like a banana.

thanks for the help but i'm not entirely sure what you mean. this guitar doesn't have a socket for the tremelo arm to go in and it doesn't look like it has the springs and stuff. if i'm juss misunderstanding you then i apologise 😛 lol

I'm retarded, I thought you needed a tremolo arm for a stock Jaguar. I kept thinking "why the hell does he want to return his guitar cause they didn't give him a tremolo arm?". Excuse me while I drink some more. I'll promise to read topics & click lanks next time.

I would rather trade it in then retrofit it. It's a really nice guitar, I'd hate to f*ck it up cause it's not what you wanted. The easy part is buying & installing the tremolo.... easy peesy. Filling & color matching that old hole from the tail is the hard part. But if you don't care, slap some stickers over it and be done with it. But yeh, nice guitar again.
