I'm basically looking to buy a new guitar for my small collection. I've decided I want 2 humbuckers, and something other than the usual epiphone/gibson (as I already got 2). So, I want to opt for a squier, as I know they seem to be reliable and they're fairly cheap.
Anyway... The 2 guitarists that inspire me most (and I play songs by most) are Kurt Cobain, and Tom Morello, so in the guitar, I'd like equipment that utilises the 2 (for example, a killswitch, suitable pickups, and a reliable tremolo). My idea is basically, a squier jagmaster in sunburst, with a jaguar scratchplate, and all the control things. But I'd like to keep the toggle switch to rewire as a killswitch, and the control plate on the upper horn would then house: an on/off switch for each individual pickup, and a bypass for the killswitch. Then, I'd like to fit a jaguar/jazzmaster (or even mustang) tremolo system, and add either the same pickups as Kurt's jaguar, or the EMGs on Tom's "Arm The Homeless" guitar (despite them actually being single coils in humbucker housing).
Firstly, I'd like to know if this plan is possible, and if not, if there is anything I could do to change it.
Secondly, I'd like to know if the jaguar pickguard and all them control plate hoojits would fit a jagmaster.
Thank you for reading this extremely long post!
