Well you're not missing much on the 70s bassman. We have one at my school and it is the most mid-dipped fender I've ever played, deep muddy lows and ice pick highs. We use the original 4x12 cab at school and it may be part of the problem, but it's still definitely not one of the better fender designs.
If they're one of your favorite bands then it would be cool to own some of their gear, I wouldn't mind owning one of srv's guitars. But they're definitely not selling their prized axes and amps.
