Hello all, first post 😀
Well after a long wait, I finally decided to get a Jag. I found one online that looked good in the pictures and they reckoned it was pretty new condition. Its a CIJ Jaguar HH, not the black American one, its actually Gunmetal blue. I just had it delievered. The design and colour is beautiful, however its not what I expected interms of the quality.
Firstly, the biggest thing you can notice is the rust on the plates around the pickguard, even the bridge seems to have it. They all have it, how does this happen? Is this just because they didnt use chrome? Does it reflect bad past ownership?
Secondly, the neck pickup is kind of higher on one side like its been fiddled with and both the pickups have a bit of movement if I move them with by hand.
Lastly, this is only my second electric guitar, this guitar has a small buzz as they hit the neck in the 5 and 6th strings. Maybe I its needs minor bridge adjustment or maybe im strumming to hard?
To tell you the truth, it wasnt that cheap either, I think I will ask for them to take it back. Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks
William
