any Cyclone II owners ?

hey, i was just wondering if there's any cyclone II owner here i'm into this guitar at the moment and i'm considering to try to find one or maybe an epiphone bass with amp i'm puzzled, so if anyone got this axe please tell me about you're sensation, i've red lot of reviews but they are ll the same, what about the neck and the sound (that's the two things i generally look on a guitar) so tell me your feeling about it 😀

I have a blue 06' Cyclone II . I think it's a great guitar. I picked it up used about a year ago for only $400 in pretty pristine condition. I like it better than the mid 90's MIJ 69 reissue Mustang that I used to own, mainly because of the hotter pickups. I think they're USA Jag pickups. I like the strat tremolo of the Cyclone better than the mustang tremolo too. It's MUCH more useful in my humble opinion. The Cyclone II sounds a lot like a strat to me, only a bit more nasal & nasty sounding when distorted. It really shines through a clean tube amp with reverb. VERY surfy sounding! I like the pickup switches on it, but a lot of people seem to have problems with bumping them with their hand. I own both USA Fenders and imports. I think this guitar holds its own with the USA strat and tele I own. I especially value its uniqueness & will never sell it.

I had one, sold it because it was quite heavy in my opinion + i hated the Jaguar pickups that were in it.

i do not agree, i love my mustang trem way more than any strat bridge (and it looks way cooler).

A local shop had a Daphne blue Cyclone II for a while and I played that thing as many times as I could as I knew it wouldn't stick around very long. Sounded great, played great, and looked unique (the comp Daphne blue looks so nice). Every employee at the shop knew I loved it but couldn't afford it and were always more than happy to let me jam on it for hours w/o interuption. Some day, I hope I am able to own one... As they were produced in low numbers for only a year, I know that when my search begins, it will most likely take a very long time to track one down... Kudos to anyone out there lucky enough to snag one b4 Fender decided to pull this beauty from production... Really wish Fender would put a 5 yr minimum production life on all guitars just to give people that can't come up w/ the money quickly can have time to save and know for a fact they are still available to purchase...

Makes me wonder if any NOS Cyclone II's are still hiding out in the Fender werehouse in Corona...
