replacement pickups?

hi, i just bought a RI mustang (antigua) and am unhappy with the stock pickups. im looking to replace the bridge PU but not sure with what. ive been told the seymour duncan little '59s are good, but want to get a second opinion.

any ideas?

Depends what you want? Single coil or Humbucker... I'd go onto the Seymour Duncan site and listen to the sound clips and see what you think.

i am an instant fan of mustangs since buying this guitar, i was playing a '72 custom tele, but the shape was all wrong, no contours. this guitar is so comfortable to play.

I thought the same about the stock pickups and installed a seymour duncan antiquity mustang pickup in the bridge.

I'm very happy about that pickup, it has a lot more output than the stock one.

I put a Fender vintage noisless in the neck of my Cyclone a week ago or so, really loving it. Will br putting a pair in my custom stang as well. They are not the best made or cheapest available, but the ones i got sound fantastic, great tone and absoluelty zero noise,acctully a tad quieter than the stock humbucker in my Cyclone.

I bought the mustang *because* of the sound...but, I'm also all up for change...what kind of sound are you looking for?

I tried a '59 and wasnt all that pleased. so i through in SD hotrails is all the bridge positions in my Mustangs
