Original Fender and Warmoth body/neck compatibility

I was wondering if someone could actually clarify this issue 😕

Is it possible to bolt original Fender neck onto new Warmoth body?

In this pic it looks kinda like the wood extension behind the last fret is longer on the Warmoth neck than on the Fender neck.

Do you end up with a gap in the neck pocket bolting Fender onto Warmoth?

Warmoth does an amazing job on their neck pockets. You can't slide the neck into the pocket hortizontally. You have to drop it vertically straight down into the neck pocket. It took me a second to figure that out when I got my Compstang Warmoth body. I made templates of a Fender Toronado, Duo Sonic & Tele all Made In Mexico, the neck pocket were awful. The neck didn't butt against the pocket tight and had a wide range of motion. A Warmoth neck pocket, you can put the neck in it without bolting it together and the neck won't fall to the ground. Do that on a MIM and it throws it's self to the ground. Warmoth makes great stuff. I know Warmoth does contract work for other guitar companies.

Yeah it's pretty clear that warmoth neck will fit warmoth body good.

But Warmoth uses vintage strat and tele 21fret pocket specs. And Fender shortscales have 22frets and much narrower spacing on the nut (I assume the butt of the neck is narrower to).

Strat & Tele are 25 1/2" scale & Shortscales are 24". You can't swap different scale necks out. It has to be the same, unless you won't to move the bridge to accomendate the difference in scale

What I don't know if Fender neck (more precisely 50th anniv. JS neck) fits Warmoth JS body.

I think that neck pockets might be different (I will end up with huge gaps, maybe will not intonate properly at all), because ALL warmoth bodies have either strat or tele pockets, and Fender shortscale necks are smaller in every aspect compared to strat or tele.

I don't know if the 4 mounting bolt holes even line up.
