Les Paul Lite worth it?

I can get this Gibson LP Studio Lite M-III for 550,- euros. (has a single coil in the middle and split coil options + a 5 way switch)

But the headstock is crackeling.....????? (the owner says it's has been in this condition for over 5 years now and it didn't get worse over time)

Is it still worth the money?

It does look really cool... Is the wood cracking or just the finish? If it's just the finish that shouldn't be a problem, but if it's the wood I wouldn't take the risk.

Hmm... Did a bit more research, apparently they were only produced for a couple of years in the mid 90's, but also they are partly balsa wood to make them lighter. I mean, balsa is probably fine, I know nothing about wood but I don't know if

Yeh, we made small drag race cars outta balsa in wood shop... stuck a CO2 motor in the back and shot em down the hallways. Just cause you crossed the finish line first, didn't mean you won..... who's car didn't explode into a million peices was usually the final champ.

Maybe the cracks came from the guy strapping a 5 gallon CO2 tank to the guitar and shot it down the hall 😆
