well you could just open the back plate as becky said, and retrieve/repair it the way the manufacturer installed it. if the body is in fact smashed in where the jack is, i'd say the body is 'mutilated' already, and would need some professional work if the finish is damaged. if it has a translucent cherry finish it's gonna show though. just be thankful it's only something that doesn't affect sound/playability, and can't be seen much of the time anyway. gibsons are fragile and from the sound of it (if indeed smashed in) you dropped it face down? better than a broken neck or headstock.
