I have decent taste in gear......... y'know with my Magnatone and my Vox and my Fuzzface and stuff........... although I guess I misuse it all, since I play punk and stuff on em...... Does that automatically negate my taste in gear?

Good point on demo's, you are one of the few that has done a demo and i know what your saying about new gear generally is the inspiration.
I'd always hoped one of the forums i post on got more into a focus on actually playing, like demo's of riffs, ideas or sounds (within that context). It seems a lot of topic content is about buying new gear, what you could have, dont have and should have. Not criticizing as such, im as guilty as anyone and have 'talked gear' for what seems like an eternity. It just seems we all have these tools in our hands yet we are discussing the ones we dont have 😆
I dont think they were being serious about the gear comment, lots of people have great gear on here and its all subject to taste anyway. I'm a punker at heart too, lots of Punks have great gear 😉
