It's been asked before but who knows, maybe something better has been discovered.

I have a 'Stang with a HB at the bridge and it sounds really thin. I am using 250k pots. Is there anyway to make it sound like it has a pair? My modded Squiers put it to shame. 😐

Do you have it wired correctly? Sometimes you have to reverse the hot/ground wire if it's not working right. Symptoms are usually that it sounds "thin".

What humbucker is it?

I'd change them pots for starters, 500k with a decent cap. Sounds like its coil split as well, check the wiring diagram from the Duncan website.. the green wire usually goes to ground..
