Sorry, but that's still a ripoff. You could order premium parts from Warmoth (and get exactly the specs you want as well) and build your own for half the price... Hell for $1600, you could get a custom painted body made from the finest wood, a neck built to your exact standards, premium hardware and pickups and have ti all assembled and shipped. That way, you'd get a guitar that you know sounds and plays good, as opposed to a half-baked prototype.
