I might get an old beat up mustang

so my friends moms boyfriend has this old 60's mustang sitting in his basement and he never plays it, so I asked my friend to ask him how much money. My friend said he was very interested in the offer but he never told me a price. but as far as I am concerned he couldnt set the price for more than 250$ because its really beat up, from what he told me its worce than this

He told me it was a yellow mustang, and that tuners needed to be replaced because they were old and caused a small buzzing, (they are just worn out)

so is the highest price i should go for on this?

as long as the neck is fine and it stays in tune, i would pay lots for it.

well I cant get pics because I dont have the guitar, I haven't played it yet, I going to do that this weekend, but even if its that beat up should I go for it?

ya, like foxy said as long as all the key components are in good condition do it. Aside from that, beat-upedness just adds character.

250 bucks is the price of a mustang neck by itself, i doubt you really need new tuners.

buy the guitar, take pics. post them, then take the guitar to a respect tech or luthier and have it properly set up.

if they are plastic klusons they are fine, i have a set from 59 that still work magic, but if they are the f keys, then they may need a lil tlc.

either way.

BUY IT! and then PAY TO HAVE IT SET UP ASAP!
