mumblyjoe I'm trying to find some accurate tabs for "2+2=5" but so far I think most of them are wrong, most of all if they are correct, those chords shown are damn hard to pull off.So I ask anyone (me looks at Doog's way) if you could work out the chords for 2+2=5, I can do the rhythm myself 😛Cheers
tomddf There is a Hail to the Thief tab book around, you should go into yr local music shop and learn it in weekly installments.I used to do that with Oasis songs when i was a wank at tabbing songs, and poor.
mumblyjoe That's an idea, but its more whether or not I can be arsed to catch a train to a music store each day 😛 as I dont get a car for another 3 weeks 😛It's annoying with this because I have the general jist of the song's rhythm and timing, just dont have the notes right!
mumblyjoe Bob: Cheers, I thought it was drop D, but is the G string tuned higher? I find it very hard to position my finger where it should be.Eric: Most tab books are incorrect.
beneathedarkness tabbing is an inaccurate scienceMost songs I've wanted to learn may be correct to the studio versionbut usually it's 2 years later when the song is played really differently, that I'm trying to learn. Being tone deaf is fun 😁 :D 😁
BobArsecake I'm not sure about the G string, so to speak (:/), perhaps, it is a twat to finger, hahaha excuse the pun, you could try it though? That's the best way to learn, and the more you try to figure songs out yourself, obviously the better you'll get at it and your ears will get more practice in actually listening to music and then applying it to playing.
mumblyjoe I figured it out now, I've realized most tabs have played it a half step too high. Also after searching about 50 tabs, I found one which matchs my interpretation of it. I broke a string though, so I can't learn it all today 😛
Doog I've not got Hail To The Thief, but I'll download that song shortly and have a bash.edit: ah, you've already figured it out. Well, I'll do it for fun then..
