you've got the bridge the wrong way round, btw. though, i suppose the 'tech' who did that, and all this unnecessary work, is the same guy who told you that a jag-stang neck would break if you put 13's on it?

I used to keep my Jag-Stang bridge the wrong way round. It's easier getting to the intonation screws that way.

Looking good icey, i bet those SD's sound way better than the stock pups.

Like the colour of the nut, not too fond of those type tuner pegs though, prefer the vintage style but if they work for you, Okay.

I'd take a pencil eraser to those Duncan logos, unless you have an endorsement deal. 😉

I really don't approve of the headstock butchering.

^^ Same. Those schallers look fugly as but good choice on pickups. Also the bridge is a bit wrong, the strings would be pushing the saddles forward and while it maybe easy to set intonation, it wouldnt be correct as the saddles would move around with any string movement, putting each string slightly out of tune.

I don't see how they'd move around anymore that the other way round. I never experienced any problems like that.

Just the angle the strings hit the saddle compresses the springs, i would imagine angle major movement of the springs (ie using the tremolo) would compress the springs a bit and possible alter tuning. But i guess in practice that happens very little.

Why would that be any different with the bridge the other way round? The springs wouldn't get compressed if you used the trem, they're fixed in place by a screw.

the screws are a solid connection. the springs are a not a solid connection. the springs aren't meant to push against the force of the strings. if you can imagine placing the saddle on the bridge without anything holding it there, the strings would push from the bridge towards the neck

what was wrong with the previous tuners anyway?

saying that locking tuners hold pitch any better than wrap around tuners is a bit like me saying that i could yank a string out of a kluson tuner, if i pulled hard enough
