ok here is the deal! i got offed a modded JCM 800 combo for my tele.

but i don't know much about Marshall's i always thought them lame and overpriced.

BUT this seams like a good deal, he is trying to sell it for $1400 maybe that's overpriced but it still seams way more than i could ever get for my tele.

if you don't play your tele anymore, swap it for the amp.

but I wouldn't do anything to the amp, in case you want to trade that for something else.

so it turns out that this was a little bit to good of a deal... he also wants 400$ but i am going to ask dad for a loan. if i can't get it no real loss. 😁

it did seem a bit of a steal.

tbh i never had a problem with my jcm800 although the speakers in the cab were a bag of toss. it has excellent tone and grit and i'd recomend one to anyone.

My only concern is if you've never played through a marshall before and you don't like what you hear when you first plug in. Having said that i'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

if he wants your guitar plus 400bucks, I'm not sure I would do the deal.

unless you are in love with that amp.

you'll have an easy time getting rid of your guitar, but a harder time selling the amp.

if a guitar shop near you has the amp, or something like it, go there and play it until they kick you out of the store. that way you can see if that amp is what you're looking for, and if it's worth giving up you guitar and 400bucks.

but see this one is modded, also i only paid 700 for the tele so it's like paying 1100 for a kick ass marshall (and for Australia that's really good).

Agreed, Luke, it's a good deal.

I don't know anything about amps, but I do know that it's worth more than the Tele, so if you don't like the amp, sell it at a profit and just buy something else you like.

Personally, I have no problem with Marshalls. Classic sound, usually pretty simple. Just great, solid rock amps.
