Hello all. Well I kind of destroyed the nut on my CiJ Mustang by filing one of the notches too deep for 10-52s.. Then I tried to cut the nut out for replacement but I'm afraid to splinter the fretboard - does anyone know a good luthier shop that could fix this type of problem? I guess the best way of doing this would have been to just use the string to file the notch out, live and learn. This the '73 Competition OLB with gloss varnish on the headstock side starting at the nut, do you guys think this is repairable without the gloss getting marred at the nut?
I really love this guitar, it's just perfect. I don't think you can even get CiJ's anymore, everything coming out of Ishibashi seems to be MiJ. I'd like to find the best luthier there is for this thing.
