This doesn't seem to be real news, but I hadn't actually heard until the other day.

"What's interesting from a gear standpoint is that Johnny said Fender will be releasing a Johnny Marr signature series Jaguar in the next year.
The production model is supposed to be spec'd to match the pickups in his frankensteined white '62, (I'm not even sure white was originally available in '62, so maybe he was referring to the pickups from his sunburst '62,) with the neck profile from the '63, and a custom circuit-- a recessed switch for the neck-only controls, and a tele pickup selector switch, so they're less likely to be hit with a pick when playing, along with changed capacitor options in the tone circuit, and the 4-way tele wiring offering series and parallel options when both pickups are on. A lot of the recent production model fender stuff has been a step in the right direction in my opinion (especially the use of nitro finishes on some non-custom shop models,) so hopefully this will be a cool guitar."
