Can I put a 24" neck on Telecaster body?

I realize this is probably a noob question, but I haven't been able to find an answer. I'm a shortscale guy. I have a jaguar and a jagmaster, which I really like, but I want a project guitar. A buddy of mine has an MIM telecaster body he would just give me. Can I stick a Jagmaster neck on there or would the 1.5" I lost make intonation impossible?

Unless you can get one of those new fangled conversion necks off a new jagmaster or duo sonic, then no.

How do those necks work exactly? I have one on my jagmaster and really like it. Why would that work on a tele? Anybody?

Basically, instead of having 22 frets, there are 21, and the bit after the fret is shorter. This means that it can fit the standard pocket.

You would have to get a neck from a jagmaster for this. I'm not sure if you can use one from a duo-sonic, cause I think those are true 24'' scale. I also think that you'll have to square off the heel of the neck.
