I have a very similar Squier Tele (mine's an Affinity, but I'm not sure what yours is).

That strat is very Hendrix, always welcome.

That Jag is just too cool for words. I'm especially loving the Bigsby-style vibrato. And the sexy purple case. Very stylish 😉

Word of advice about the 51...

If you're planning to mod, DON'T put on a tone control. Or if you must, at least treat yourself to a tone bypass switch.

Otherwise, sweet 51, I love mine. Awesome little critters. Neck pickup is great 😁

Thanks for the advice Robb. I had thought about that but I will probably just leave it as is. The only mod I am planning is to change the nut to bone.That is because somebody changed the original to a graphite nut that looks wrong.

As for comp stripes on a yellow Cyclone... as far as I'm concerned, can't go wrong with basic black

as long as the guitar is yellow its all good. .

i considered takinig the crapp strat off a friend. . and painting it yellow with this paint i have which used to be the colour of the walls in my room . . a real nice bright yellow and then modding the hell outa the guitar. . but then i wanted to do it with a tele instead and now i cant decide ☹

A yellow strat is pretty much my dream guitar. Yellow with a pearloid pickguard.

I don't think yellow tele's look nearly as good, and for some reason yellow doesn't seem to suit the Jag/Jazzy shape either.

But for strats and Mustangs/Cyclones/et al, it simply doesn't get any better.*

I have a few others but these are my main two right now. The Tele has cost approx. $580 so far (Counting the modifications) And the Riff cost me $80 from a yard sale! Wanna see a guitar I'd like to have?
