mustang pickup covers, please help!

hello, i recently bought a 1971 fender mustang in sunburst

it has white and "uncovered" pickup covers (the poles are "naked" like the stratocaster)

Is it right or do you think it has been modified?

I've seen a lot of pics and it seems that every mustang has black covered pickup covers

please help

I'm pretty sure all mustangs came from the factory with either white, or black solid pickup covers. (no pole holes)

the closed pickupcovers are half the charme of the mustangs appearance so i would change them. just my opinion though.

i'll post a pic, anyway the pickup covers on my mustang are exactly like a stratocaster: "naked" and white!

If you have staggered pole pieces, then you're stuck...unless you change out the pups...

If not, $6 spent at http://www.allparts.com will yield 3 new covers...

Nice Stang man most i have seen in SB have black covers? idk mybe u wanna pick up so pup covers on Ebay there not that much u can buy some vintage ones on there Easssssy.
