Help with custom guitar

Hi! I'm currently in the process of building myself a custom guitar from scratch and I need a little help with it. I'm making my own cross between the Jaguar and Mustang guitars, and I need to know the measurement from the bottom of the neck to the middle of the bridge on a 24" scale jag or mustang.

I'm hopefully going to get the neck pocket routed in a couple of days, so then I'll be able to place the bridge and pickup cavities. And in case it makes any difference I'm getting the neck custom made from Warmoth and I have a Gotoh Tune-o-matic bridge from Stew-Mac, also when I get the money for it I'm going to get a jag trem for it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that's a picture of the guitar body right after it was cut out, I've sanded it down some and I've worked on the body contours a little. it's a work in progress

When you have the neck pocket routed you put the neck on, and measure from the 12th fret to where the bridge should be. The distance should measure 12 inches from the 12th fret to the bridge.

well, I know that... or I could measure 24" from the nut on the neck.

the problem is I don't have the neck yet, and I don't have the $400 to get it from warmoth. and I thought I'd try to get ahead a little and find where the bridge goes so I could then find the position of where the pickups go. because it's going to be a 24" scale guitar and I've never dealt with any before and don't have a neck for one I was hoping to get most of the guitar done before ordering the neck, which is a really dumb idea... I will admit that.

Yeah that was quite dumb. Look on Ebay for a cheap jaguar, or Mustang neck. You could even try for a Squier duosonic neck, and hopefully get one for cheap. I wouldn't recommend doing it without putting the neck on first.

I don't think that'll happen. eBay is retarded and all of the necks are like $250+, one guy was selling a pre-CBS neck for $999.99 which I think is a little steep.

and part of the reason I'm getting the neck from warmoth is so I can get the neck profile of an Ibanez Iceman, while it looks like a fender neck/guitar. If a neck is gonna cost me more than like $150 I'm not going to go for it. I already have to do this one piece at a time due to a lack of funds. Looks like the next piece I get will be the neck and tremolo.
