Hey all, I installed a jag/jazz trem and Mustang bridge on my Fender Musicmaster and it sounds and plays really well when it's in the locked postion. When I unlock the trem, it seems to bind a bit and doesn't operate very smoothly. It is a Fender American Vintage Reissue trem and I strung the guitar with GHS Boomers (.011-.046). The only thing visible that I can see as a potential issue is that the ferrule that the trem arm pushes into seems to drag a bit on the trem plate hole. But I think it may be binding somewhere else, too. I checked to make sure that the mechanism isn't snagging on the body route anywhere and it looks to be fine. The route is clean.
😕 Has anyone else ever had this problem? Are there any online resources that can help with these issues? I've found a lot out about adjusting the trem and setting it up, but not much with trouble-shooting. Any help is appreciated.
