Howdy folks,
I've got a bit of a problem here, I've been through the pages on the site/discussion board, but I cannot find the answer to my question, I thought I had it the other day but no-cigar.
I'm installing a bridge Hot Rails on my Jag but I'm a little lost as to how I should wire it up.
At first I thought I'd simply solder off the red & white together.
Earth the shield/drain wire & the green.
Then simply solder the black to the pickup selector - that's right, yeah?
But I've thought of splitting the hot rails via the 'tone selector' on my Jaguar. So in one position I've got a full on rock-hummer and the other a single coil with some kick - but I'm no electrics wizard - I can't figure it out.
I don't use the tone selector but will it change once I add the hot-rails?
Or can I just leave the tone selector and adjust the bridge selector ie. wire it so down is for single coil and up is for hummer?
Could anyone help me out with a wire diagram or some direction? The one supplied is a little difficult to nail (& as hot-rails are not really meant for Jaguars, the schematics supplied are for strats)
