is there much difference in the way they sound?

If not the hi flyer would be the obvious answer so i'm thinking the hummingbird because of the bigsby type tremolo.

I picked the Sidejack. The green on that is nice.

Also I'm with Brandon. What is the difference tonewise?

looks like same pickups and fretboard, i'm guessing they all sound similar if it's same wood for body. Same number of controls, hummingbird is a little sharper and longer cutaways, i like the bigger pick guard. I'm sticking with hummingbird.

I'm leaning towards the Sidejack too I think... That deep contour looks good, and the Sunburst and Metallic Blue models look really sweet too!

Hi-Flyer, no doubt. Although I prefer the longer whammy bar on the Sidejack, and also I'd want to get a lefty and tEh Kurtz it.

sidejack .... i have the blue baritone..... and this guitar is a real gem for sure.

hi flyer for sure... sidejack is nice too though... not too much difference so if you were thinking of getting one I would just play both of them and see which one you prefer sound/playing wise.

I like the HF too....but why are the neck pick ups mounted kinda sideways like that?

I'm not sure I care for that aspect of the overall appearance...

Eastwood do an ovation ultra hardbody copy, i'd go with that if it was roughly the same price, i've never liked high-flyers, but those ovations look sweet.

I'm not sure about either of them to be honest but as far as colour schemes go, the High Flyer in white looks the better of the group. Also I'm not sure about the angle or the placement of the neck pick up really.

Are those witch hats oh there? If not they should be. My eyes are'nt what they used to be. 🤷

There is a version by Aria which you can pick up cheap usually, Wilson Bros. make one as well. But i suppose Hallmark is the way to go, the guy used to work for Mosrite... apparently.

I have 2 Hi Flyers . 1 Tailstop in white and the bass in sunburst. They're good guitars . The tailstop plays and sounds a lot more like a Gibson or Epiphone than a Mosrite or Univox IMHO. One thing I will say is that they are certainly pretty . I was considering selling them since I have 8 guitars and need to start culling the herd . PM if you're interested .

I've never liked hi flyers for three reasons

It looks like it's upside down,

The angled neck pickup looks out of place,

And three, they look huge in it!

Look at the hiflyer in the above pic, then look at this picture

See the resemblance?

The pickups are straight out of Rob Halford's wardrobe, nuff said.

It's a " Love It Or Hate It "guitar . It's the " Counter Guitar " . For those that say : " Real musicians only play strats " . These tell those folks to piss off.

I don't purposely try to sound like a prick, i say it how i see it and sometimes it upsets people.

If you love those guitars then there isn't anything i can say that'll change your mind on it, apart from maybe breaking the law breaking the law! 😛

I do actually have a recording of me playing that, but if i stick it up now then it'll really look like i want to piss people off when i don't.
