What kind of effects were SY using around this period? It sounds like Thurston is using a RAT, and Lee's tone is thicker and more fuzzy but it doesn't sound that much like a Muff. It sounds like chorus at the start of Teenage Riot too but that might be the alternate tunings.

I know there's a chorus at the beginning of teenage riot, and I think Thurston used a phaser at that time.

I havent looked at that site I linked for ages so i forget what years he used what effects but for at least 10 years his effects realy havent changed. That link should be able to tell you almost everything you want to know me thinks. Its very useful.

I have seen that site, but it says that Thurston just used a Blue Box and a volume pedal, and it doesn't sound like a Blue Box or amp distortion on that album to me... I can see Lee's tone maybe being a RAT and a compressor, but it doesn't mention a chorus (which is clearly at the start of Teenage Riot, if not other songs), or any kind of wah (Eric's Trip chorus) for either of them...
