Advice well taken, thanks. I've not made any changes to it.
It has replacement tuners but I found some '64 Kluson double line to replace them with. Nice creamy/yellow buttons.
One switch has been replaced with a two way switch and one is original. I am going to replace the the two way and try to clean the other as well as clean the pots. I did a trial run on one of the pots and was able to put it back together again.
It has been refinished with a kind of honey/amber color but the wood grain is somewhat visable still.
I got a used bridge cover and a new trem arm for it.
When I get it in full working order I'll see about posting some pics. This mustang is actually my first electric. It was made when I was 11 years old so you can do the math.
I have several nice acoustic guitars, a '39 Gibson J-45 looking, a solid Koa Martin, A maple and spruce one that I made from scratch at a luthier school, and a couple of three string guitars that use a cigar box for the body. One of the cigarbox guitars I made is signed by Robert Lockwood JR who is basically Robert Johnson's setpson. A lot of the old bluesguys started with a one string cigarbox guitar. His comment when he signed it was, "This is like the ones they used to play that had one string, but you got three."
